Mechanism of action
Benzydamine
An indazole non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-oedema properties. Unlike other NSAIDs, benzydamine hydrochloride does not inhibit cyclooxygenases but stabilizes membranes, resulting in local anaesthesia and inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
Cetylpyridinium chloride
Cetylpyridinium chloride is a cationic antiseptic with activity against both gram positive and gram negative organisms.
