Mechanism of action

Cafedrine/Theodrenaline
Cafedrine/Theodrenaline has a positive inotropic effect on the heart (without increasing heart rate) and mediates vascular smooth muscle relaxation and contraction through its action on cardiac beta-1 adrenoceptors, vascular alpha-1 adrenoceptors, and phosphodiesterases.  These effects result in an increase in blood pressure through increased inotropy, stroke volume, minute volume, preload and cardiac output, while systemic vascular resistance remains largely unchanged.
