Critical Care Ventilation Troubleshooting
Patients on ventilator in the EC can deteriorate acutely, the following mnemonic can be used to approach this problem.
The principle is to disconnect the patient from the ventilator and use bag ventilation.
Re-asses each of potential problems starting from the patient, Endotracheal tube (ETT), Circuit and Ventilator.
