Who do you contact for the CEO's approval
RMMCH encourages the conduct of research at the institution. In order to ensure that you understand the process of receiving approval as well complying with the Research Policy (of 22 January 2015) at RMMCH it is important that you read and take note of the following.
Timelines
From the time you complete the online form for authorization to conduct a study at RMMCH it will take no less than 7 days to receive verbal/email response to the request and up to 14 days to receive a written letter of authorization.
This means that one must submit a request in writing well in advance of the Ethics Committee’s or any other committee’s deadline.
How to receive approval
The first step is to contact the Head of the relevant department where the research will be conducted. This could be done by either sending this individual an email with the synopsis of the protocol or arrange a physical meeting. Should the head approve of the study in principle then the next step would be to complete this online form ( http://www.123contactform.com/form- 1265499/Research-Approval-Requisition-Form) for authorization from the Clinical Manager of the hospital.
