Webinar speaker: Dr Zodwa Dire
|
|
|
Dr Zodwa Dire is an Endocrinologist at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital and in limited private practice with special interest in bone disease, diabetes and thyroid disease. Dr Dire earned her medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and further went to complete her registrar training in Internal Medicine at the University. Upon successfully completing her training on becoming a physician, Dr Dire further obtained a Master of Medicine degree in Internal Medicine from the same University. She also holds a certificate in the subspecialty of endocrinology with the College of Medicine South Africa. Apart from clinical care, Dr Dire is an associate lecturer at the department of internal medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School and is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Dr Dire is also a member on the Society for Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes South Africa.

|

|
Dr Lebohang Pitso is an Endocrinologist in part-time private practice and Head of Endocrinology & Diabetes at Universitas Academic Hospital, Bloemfontein, and a lecturer at the University of the Free State. His practice is in the field of diabetes, thyroid, and general endocrinology care, with active involvement in clinical research and specialist training. Dr Pitso serves on the Executive Committee of SEMDSA and is passionate about advancing evidence-based endocrinology education and patient-centred care.
