• Peri-oral dermatitis

• Do not use in or around eyes
• Occlusive dressings
• Infants and young children

Beclometasone inhibits leukocyte infiltration at the site of inflammation, interferes with the function of inflammatory mediators, suppresses humoral immunity, and reduces oedema and scar tissue. The anti-inflammatory actions of corticosteroids are thought to involve lipocortins, which control the biosynthesis of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes.
